JUVÉDERM® is a gel-like medication that’s placed directly into problem areas to reduce the tired, aged appearance created by fine lines and wrinkles. How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?
JUVÉDERM® procedures are quick, easy, and virtually painless. The procedure doesn’t require any allergy testing allowing patients to get in and out of the office within less than an hour. JUVÉDERM® is lidocaine-enhanced making treatments comfortable even without the use of a topical anesthetic. Prior to treatment, the area will be cleansed and prepared for injection. The actual treatment process takes just a few short minutes.
What Results Will I See?*
Results from JUVÉDERM® can be seen almost immediately. You’ll notice instant volumization directly after treatment. However, your body will naturally reabsorb some of the filler over the next 24-48 hours. An optimal outcome will occur in about 2-5 days. JUVÉDERM® is a long-lasting procedure with results lasting anywhere from 6-months to 2-years depending on the treatment area, formula, and the severity of your concerns.
Is There Any Downtime?
There is no downtime with JUVÉDERM® procedures. Men and women who opt for JUVÉDERM® can get back to their normal routine right after treatment. Side effects from dermal fillers are generally minimal but can include slight redness, swelling, tenderness, and occasionally bruising for up to several days.
