Volume Loss

Have you begun to notice areas of volume loss throughout your face?

Do you have deep or dark under-eye hollows that make you look tired? Are sunken cheeks making you look older on the outside than you feel on the inside? Would you like a non-surgical alternative to naturally restoring a more youthful appearance? If so, now’s the time to start thinking about minimally-invasive injectables at Manhattan Aesthetics.

It’s common to see volume loss as we get older. Collagen levels begin to nosedive and elastin diminishes with time leaving us with crepey skin, wrinkles, and age-related volume loss. Thankfully, there are quick and painless ways to instantly rejuvenate skin and enhance long-term collagen production.

How Can I Treat Volume Loss?

Treating facial volume loss is quick and easy. Your skilled Manhattan Aesthetics provider places a prescription medication designed to plump and hydrate the skin at precise depths for an optimal outcome. Depending on the severity of your condition and your goals, your provider may suggest one of the following treatment options.

Restore lost facial volume at Manhattan Aesthetics with;

Soft Tissue Fillers

Sculptra®

With a wide array of soft tissue fillers, we’re sure to have the ideal option for your individual needs. During your in-person consultation, we will work closely with you to find the injectable that will effectively give you the results you want.

Am I A Good Candidate?

If early-onset volume loss has begun to be a problem for you but you aren’t ready for surgical procedures with extensive downtime, it might be a good time to enlist the help of minimally-invasive treatment options. Most injectables are safe and effective for all skin types, textures, and tones.

Injectables for volume loss can treat;

Under-eye hollows
Sunken cheeks
Depressed chins
Thinning lips

Soft tissue fillers can also be used to treat various wrinkles throughout the face. Women who are pregnant or nursing are not suitable for dermal fillers. Speak with your Manhattan Aesthetics provider to learn more about what options are right for you.

How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?

Injectables for volume loss can typically be done in just a few minutes on an outpatient basis. While some are enhanced with lidocaine, others will need a topical anesthetic to minimize any discomfort. Patients should plan to be in the office anywhere from 30-60 minutes when treating volume loss. Most soft tissue fillers are done as a one-time treatment but Sculptra® is done in a series of 3-treatments over 3-4 months.

What Results Will I See?*

You’ll see an immediate change to your facial contours after treatment. Optimal results will occur about 2-5 days post-treatment as any swelling subsides and your injectable settles into its final position. Some hyaluronic acid fillers can last upwards of 2-years. Sculptra® uses poly-L-lactic microspheres to stimulate long-term collagen for 2+ years and is considered one of the longest-lasting injectables on the market.

Is There Any Downtime?

There is no downtime involved with most soft tissue fillers. Many patients return to work or normal activities directly after treatment. Side effects are typically mild and short-lived. Sculptra® works differently than most fillers and is deposited into deeper layers of tissue for collagen enhancement. With soft tissue fillers, patients can expect slight swelling, redness, and/or tenderness. With Sculptra® bruising is often common.
