Hollow Eyes

Do you have dark or discolored bags below the eyes?

Is your under-eye area sunken to the point of being bothersome? Do you feel that your hollow eyes are making you appear older than you feel on the inside? Would you like a non-surgical way to improve the overall appearance of your face? If so, now may be the right time to start thinking about minimally-invasive hollow eye treatments at Manhattan Aesthetics.

Hollow eyes typically run in families. That’s right. Some of us are more genetically predisposed to get sunken eyes than the rest of the world. Fortunately, there’s no longer any reason that you have to live with your under-eye bags just because your parents did. These days, we’re able to safely and effectively address your concerns with a simple, in-office treatment.

How Do Hollow Eye Treatments Work?

Am I A Good Candidate?

You may be a good fit for under-eye treatments if you’re bothered by the appearance of deep-set hollows but don’t have the time to commit to a lengthy recovery. Patients that have relatively good skin elasticity below the eyes typically respond best when it comes to hollow eye treatments. The best way to determine your candidacy for the procedure is through an in-person consultation with a skilled provider.

How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?

Treatment times can vary from patient to patient. Dermal filler procedures typically take just a few short minutes, and thanks to being enhanced with lidocaine, they don’t need any additional anesthetic. Thread lift procedures can be slightly more time-consuming. However, in either case, most patients can expect their procedure to take less than one hour.

What Results Will I See?*

Both under-eye fillers and thread lifts provide instant facial rejuvenation. You’ll see a noticeably more youthful appearance from the moment you walk out the door. Dermal fillers typically last anywhere from 6-12 months, and thread lifts can trigger long-term collagen production that lasts 1-3 years. Maintenance treatments can be done as needed to prolong the outcome of either procedure.

Is There Any Downtime?

The good news is, you can plump hollow eyes with little to no downtime. You’ll be able to go back to your regular routine directly after treatment. Full recovery from thread lift procedures can take 1-2 days. Side effects are minimal with either treatment and often subside within several days. You may experience redness, tenderness, swelling, or in rare instances bruising at the treatment site.
