How Does Botox® for Men Work?
Botox® works by blocking communication between the nerves and muscles. The powerful neurotoxin temporarily relaxes muscles causing wrinkles to soften and ultimately restoring a more youthful appearance. Many men report looking years-younger with a single Botox® Cosmetics procedure.
Am I A Good Candidate for Botox®?
You may be an ideal candidate for Botox® if you have moderate to severe wrinkles around the eyes or forehead. Treatments are most effective for men that have lines and wrinkles as a result of years worth of frowning, squinting, or other facial expressions. Botox® is generally not effective for wrinkles that are caused by sun damage.

Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?
While your actual Botox® procedure will take just minutes, men should plan to be in the office for approximately 1-hour. Prior to treatment, your provider will cleanse the treatment area, mark injection locations, and apply a topical anesthetic to keep you comfortable throughout. During the 5-10 minute injection process, your provider will place the Botox® medication at precise depths for natural-looking results.
What Results Will I See?*
Most men are able to see initial results in about 2-5 days. Some men have stronger facial muscles and may not see an optimal outcome until 1-week post-treatment. Botox® usually lasts anywhere from 4-6 months making it ideal for a quick anti-aging treatment before a big event. Many men opt for regular Botox® treatments to maintain lasting results.
Is There Any Downtime?
There isn’t any downtime needed for Botox® treatments. Men can return to most activities without restriction directly after their procedure. You should avoid lying down or rubbing the treatment area for up to 4-hours. Side effects are typically short-lived but can include slight redness, swelling, or tenderness at the injection site.
