What is Restylane®?

Restylane® is the brand name of a dermal filler that contains hyaluronic acid. It’s non-surgical, with only an injection required to disperse the solution to the target area. It has many uses, with the main one being to add volume to your face. When injected, Restylane® is shown to plump up the target area, making your face look less hollow.

Furthermore, adding volume to the face also helps counter any wrinkles or fine lines. In essence, they get filled in and smoothed out by the dermal filler, giving your face a much more youthful appearance.

Restylane® Treatment Areas

Similar to JUVEDERM®, Restylane® is primarily used around the face. One of the most common treatment areas is under the eyes, with the filler used to add some much-needed plumpness. A lot of candidates have hollow eyes due to a lack of sleep or genetics, so this filler offers a much better alternative to eye creams or serums.

Additionally, Restylane® is injected into the lips to make them appear plumper and fuller. This is a very popular treatment area, but many candidates also see benefits when it is injected into their cheeks. Generally speaking, it can be used in many areas of the face.

Restylane® provides you with results that kick in after a few days, but last up to 9 months! You can have touch-up appointments to continue seeing results, and it’s widely known as an effective treatment for dealing with wrinkles and adding volume to your face.

As if that’s not enough, it happens to be a short treatment with no downtime. It can literally be done during your lunch break as the whole process lasts for around 30 minutes. Only a couple of those minutes are spent getting the injection, the rest is the minor recovery time to let some swelling go down. Swelling is basically the only side-effect a healthy patient will see. While there may be some slight swelling and redness, it’s not enough to stop you from getting on with your day.
