At Manhattan Aesthetics, we use a prescription custom compounded numbing cream to ensure your comfort. You will feel little to no discomfort during treatment once the numbing has an effect. The programmable Vivace system will insert 36 gold-plated needles to a precise depth. These needles will transmit heat to the cells surrounding them, creating controlled areas of damage that initiate collagen production. Treatment takes 30 to 45 minutes, but you should allow some extra time for the numbing cream to take effect.

Your results will take time to develop while your cells produce new collagen. Most people see results a few weeks after their first treatment but continue to progress until six months later. People typically need three treatments four to six weeks apart to see optimal results.
You may have some minor redness for a few hours after treatment, but you can resume your normal activities. We will recommend products for you to use following your Vivace treatment. We also recommend daily sunscreen with an SPF 30 or more to protect your skin while it heals.
