How Does TruSculpt® 3D Work?
TruSculpt® 3D uses aggressive radiofrequency (RF) energy to heat deep layers of skin and melt unwanted fat. Unlike ThermiSmooth® (a radiofrequency device used to reduce cellulite and tighten the skin), TruSculpt® 3D penetrates deeper and will melt fat all the way down to the muscle. The procedure quickly works to address stubborn hard-to-treat fat for patients of all ages.
Am I A Good Candidate for TruSculpt® 3D?
The ideal candidate for TruSculpt® 3D is one who is in otherwise good health and would like to reduce localized fat pockets without surgery. TruSculpt® 3D can also be beneficial for patients that are bothered by moderate skin laxity and cellulite in those areas. Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does a Typical Treatment Take?
Prior to treatment, a Glycerin solution is applied to the skin to properly lubricate the treatment area. The TruSculpt® 3D handpiece is then gently glided along the surface of the skin as the patient rests in a lying position. The device reaches optimal temperature within just 2-minutes. Each targeted area will require 4-minutes of contact to achieve desired results. The procedure is painless and in a 1-hour session, most patients are able to target unwanted fat in 4-areas.
What Results Will I See?*
Patients can see a visible fat reduction with one treatment. However, some men and women may need secondary treatment to address more severe aesthetic concerns. Some patients have reported up to 35% fat reduction in clinical trials. You’ll begin to see initial results in about 3-weeks as your body flushes out dead fat cells. Continued improvement will gradually occur over the course of 4-6 months.
Once treated fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good. However, TruSculpt® 3D cannot prevent future fat from forming. Patients should be prepared to maintain healthy lifestyle choices to prolong the outcome of their treatment. Touch-up visits can be done as needed to keep unwanted fat at bay.
Is There Any Downtime?
TruSculpt® is considered a no-downtime procedure. Men and women who undergo in-office treatment can quickly get back to the majority of their normal activities directly after treatment. Head back to work, home, or anywhere in between right away and watch fat seemingly melt away with time. Side effects from the non-invasive procedure are typically minimal and short-lived. You may experience slight swelling, redness, or tenderness up to several days post-treatment.
