Each Juvederm® formula has a different purpose. Manhattan Aesthetics offers three Juvederm® dermal fillers to target different areas.
Juvederm® Voluma targets areas of lost volume, such as the cheeks and under-eye hollows. It can also address sagging or loss of definition around the jawline and chin. Your injector may recommend it for other areas as well. This resilient formula can last up to two years.
Juvederm® Vollure treats lines and wrinkles, especially around the mouth and nose. These include marionette lines, nasolabial folds, and smoker’s lines. This formula is flexible enough to move naturally but firm enough to lift and smooth deep wrinkles. It can last up to 18 months.
Juvederm® Volbella is a lip filler that provides plumper, fuller lips. Whether you have naturally thin lips or have lost lip volume, this formula can help. Because the lips need to move freely, Volbella is smooth and flexible. It can last up to one year.
No rules say which Juvederm® filler should be used in a particular situation. Your Manhattan Aesthetics injector has the experience to determine which filler to use. Juvederm® injections can take as little as 15 minutes. There is no downtime, and you can return to your usual activities. Some people notice minor bruising or swelling in the treated area. These effects are mild and resolve within a few days. You can help prevent bruising by avoiding alcohol, NSAIDs like ibuprofen, and some supplements before and after your injections.
Since the body recognizes hyaluronic acid as a normal component of skin, Juvederm® is safe for almost everyone. Good candidates have reasonable expectations and goals. Candidates should not have a history of reactions to this type of filler or an infection in the treatment area.
