What is Juvederm® Vollure™?

The Juvederm® family of dermal fillers contains several products, each used for a different purpose. Juvederm® Vollure™ targets lines and wrinkles using hyaluronic acid. This compound attracts and holds onto hydration, making it a popular ingredient in skincare products. When used as a dermal filler, it forms cross-links that create a cohesive material that can add volume and smoothness to your skin.

What is Juvederm® Vollure™ Used For?

Juvederm® Vollure™ has the ideal consistency to target lines and wrinkles, especially those around the nose and mouth. It is most often used to treat nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Nasolabial folds are the creases that form between the corners of the nose and the corners of the mouth. Marionette lines form like parentheses around the corners of the mouth. Unlike some other types of wrinkles, these cannot be treated with Botox®.

How Should I Prepare for Juvederm® Vollure™?

Preparation for dermal filler injections is minimal, and the actual treatment takes as little as fifteen minutes. However, taking a few steps to prepare can prevent bruising and swelling after your injections and ensure you enjoy your best results.

Avoid NSAIDs like ibuprofen or aspirin for several days
Stop taking any supplements that could increase bleeding
Do not smoke or use alcohol before or after treatment
Do not schedule dental work within two weeks

You should also let your Manhattan Aesthetics provider know if you have an active skin condition or infection in the treatment area. They may reschedule your appointment for your safety. You do not need to take any time off work other than a short break to stop in for your appointment.

Am I a Good Candidate for Juvederm® Vollure™?

Most healthy adults can benefit from Juvederm® fillers. Candidates for Juvederm® Vollure™ want to treat lines and wrinkles, particularly nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Good candidates have reasonable expectations and understand the treatment risks and benefits. You should not have Juvederm® Vollure™ if you have had a reaction to hyaluronic acid dermal fillers in the past.

How Long Will Juvederm® Vollure™ Results Last?

You will see your Juvederm® Vollure™ results immediately after treatment, with your lines and wrinkles looking smoother and rejuvenated. Each dermal filler has a different lifespan, and Juvederm® Vollure™ can last up to eighteen months when properly injected and with good skincare.
