Kybella® uses a molecule called deoxycholic acid. This molecule occurs in your digestive system and helps your body break up fats so it can use them. You can return to your normal activities after Kybella® treatment. However, you should expect some swelling and soreness. The swelling can last for several days. You may also see other effects like bruising or hard areas where you had injections. You may choose to take a day to recover since symptoms will significantly improve after about 24 hours.
